“HOME THEN AND NOW” POEM - Name things you remember from your childhood home and how it is now. Write poem describing the two.

                                                                      HOME
     THEN                                                                                                                           NOW
Playhouse
Run-down
Garden Hose looked like a snake
old, not used as much

THEN
The playhouse is a mansion, a fort, a friend
And our garden hose snaked around his arm

NOW
Worn-down, and weather-beaten and lost
Now, it sits cracking in the sun under a globally warm afternoon
